My Book Haul / Showcase Sundays

This is Books, Biscuits and Tea's Showcase Sunday where I share my lovely book hauls each week. Have a look back at Vicki's link up to see what everyone is up too!

Been a really quiet week for reading as I've had so much else on my mind this week. I only finished one book - Seven Kinds of Hell by Dana Cameron - great world, nice characters but felt like it could be less hectic at times.

Just a couple of books coming in this week...

Bought

XO (Kathryn Dance #3) - Jeffery Deaver
Publisher: Simon & Schuster
Kayleigh Towne is gorgeous with a voice that is taking her to the heights of the country pop charts. Her hit single “Your Shadow” puts her happily in the spotlight, until an innocent exchange with one of her fans leads Kayleigh into a dark and terrifying realm. The fan warns, “I’m coming for you,” and soon accidents happen and people close to Kayleigh die. Special Agent Kathryn Dance must use her considerable skills at investigation and body language analysis to stop the stalker—but before long she learns that, like many celebrities, Kayleigh has more than just one fan with a mission.

Jeffery Deaver is one of those authors that I always buy his books when come out in paperback - his mysteries are just really good reads.

Conquistador - SM Stirling
Publisher: Roc Fantasy
1945: An ex-marine has discovered a portal that permits him to travel between the America he knows-and a virgin America untouched by European influence. 21st century: The two realities collide...

I picked this up at a second-hand book sale as it sounded interesting and it was only 20p. I really can't resist bargains!

What have you picked up this week?

  1. I love the look of both books, Mel, and hope you enjoy them! You are very right about Seven Kinds of Hell, - it was way too chaotic for me too.
