So what is this all about? I realised the other day that I've been doing these Throwback Thursday posts inspired by Melissa at My World...in words and pictures for nearly year now - I have posted about over 60 books I own but I have hardly read any yet. So on the first Thursday of each month I will post a poll highlighting all the Throwback Thursday books I've highlighted in the last month plus one of the older Throwbacks and ask you to pick which book I should read. The most popular book after 5 days or so, will be picked up by me and actually read and (hopefully!) reviewed by the end of the month. However, in thanks I will also offer anyone who enters a copy of any book from my TBR Shelf. This way older books get a lot of love from both of us!
So to summarise -
- Pick a book you want me to read from my Throwback Thursday's posts and be in with a chance to win a book for yourself from my TBR pile for your own - check my TBR Shelf at the top for some other books that I need to get round to reading!
- I'll ship it out to from the Book Depository or fishpond so it will be open internationally.
- Leave a comment for an extra entry telling my why I should read your choice!
- Open to followers only (Sorry, but I want to reward those who stop by regularly! Also I'm not advertising or publicising this giveaway so it's just for those who read my blog regularly!)
- Poll closes midnight on Tuesday 9th October- I will try to announce the winning book and lucky follower, by next Thursday.
This month the books I need to give some serious love to are (you can go to the original posts to see what I said about them if you click on them!):

I think the Lord of Changing Winds as it sounds like it tries something different. And it looks like you have had it the longest.
ReplyDeleteI'm really curious about "Goddess of the Sea". For all that it's written by a well-known author, I really haven't heard too much about it.
ReplyDeleteblack dust mambo is perfect for this season with it's cover a bit creepy and the candles make me think halloween^^
ReplyDeleteThe only author i know from these is P.C Cast, and ive heard great things about her, so def read that one!! Thanks for the giveaway as well!
ReplyDelete- Farah @ MajiBookshelf
It has to be Adrian Phoenix! You just have to read her, Mel! :)
ReplyDeleteLord of the Changing Winds. Because the creatures and world are awesome and Rachel Neumeier is an awesome author:)
ReplyDeleteBlack Dust Mambo! I love urban fantasy so I want everyone else reading them lol. The story sounds really nice and dark and will put you in the mood for halloween (if you celebrate it). Never read anything by Adrian Phoenix but I have many of her books on my TBR list and I heard she's really good!
ReplyDeleteI'd say Goddess of the Sea b/c it's by a known author and 1st in the series. I've never read any mermaid-type books.
ReplyDeleteThanks :)
I think you should read Goddess of the Sea because PC Cast writes awesome books! Goddess of the Sea has magic and romance and the tough choice of a knight in shining armor and a merman! What's not to like??
ReplyDeleteBlack Dust Mambo! I've not yet read anything by this author so I would be interested to read a review of it. I like the cover and the blurb.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed Goddess of the Sea (I mean mermaids!) but I LOVED the Goddess of the Rose. My fave of that series. You so need to read that one. ;)
ReplyDeleteOf this list, I would say Lord of the Changing Winds - Rachel Neumeier is my pick though. After Melissa's (the other one, not you or me... LOL) reviews on this series I'm curious as to what you think.
Black Dust Mambo seems like a good choice. I'm not fond of P C Cast books and I have hread great things about this series and the lovely Adriana Phoenix. Then after you've read it, I can decide if I want to read it or not.
ReplyDeleteYou know what..I am feeling fantasy today so go for Neumeier! Cos fantasy rocks. As easy as that
ReplyDeleteI vote for Lord of the Changing Winds - Rachel Neumeier because it sounds kind of interesting and I want to know if it's worth reading. You shall be my test dummy ;)
ReplyDeleteOh I really like Adrian Phoenix and as I didn't know the others I'll say this one, I don't know if it's the first or the second in the series but I have to read the second one. The first was really great. I would love to see your opinion!
ReplyDeleteBlack Dust Mambo! I'm very curious about it, so if you read it you can tell me about it.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely Black Dust Mambo! I love Paranormal books! And this one is a MUST read!
ReplyDeleteI say go for the BLOND BOMBSHELL. I'd love to know what's it's about with that title & cover.
ReplyDeleteOut of the four books, Black Dust Mambo is the one I'd like to read the most, so I'd recommend it for you to read as well.
ReplyDeleteBlonde Bombshell - I haven't read it (or any of these books) but it sounds funny and intriguing.
ReplyDeleteBlack Dust Mambo. I've read it and I really enjoyed it.
