It was I suppose, my own fault in a way. I was with some friends in the pub and raving about how great the Kindle is. I was waving it about and singing the praises of 3G..."Look I can buy a book, while I'm sat on the train or in a coffee shop - no waiting." I was proving my point by connecting to the kindle store and picking a book on the top sellers, more or less at random, "See, if I wanted I could just click here and it would be sent to me within 60 seconds...ops..". Yes, I pressed the wrong button and bought a book completely at random.

I have since discovered there is a section where if you do buy a book my mistake, it will be taken off your kindle and your money refunded. But I only discovered this afterwards.
The good news is that the book I bought, while not one I would have chosen, it might be a different read for me. It's an autobiographical story by one of the most popular entertainers in Britain - The Fry Chronicles by Stephen Fry.Out of interest - has anyone else bought a book by mistake?

Well I bought Oracle in ASDA. It was part of a buy two books cheaper than buying one book deal. It was terrible.

@Sam - I know, I know - I will try to restrain myself in furture!
ReplyDeleteI'm about half way through it at the moment sam and it's very different from my normal reading. I hope to finish it this weekend and put the review next week sometime.
@Kris - it's terrible when forced to buy extra books - I feel for you, I really do. :)
