Throwback Thursday #28 - Sixty-One Nails

This is a great feature that Melissa at My World...in words and pictures has been doing for a while and I wanted to jump on board! There are plenty of books out there I desperately want...

But what about all those wonderful books that are ALREADY on my shelves?

Sixty-One Nails - Mike Shevdon

There is a secret war raging beneath the streets of London. A dark magic will be unleashed by the Untainted...Unless a new hero can be found. Niall Petersen, goes from a suspected heart attack on the London Underground, into the hidden world of the Feyre, an uncanny place of legend that lurks just beyond the surface of everyday life. The Untainted, the darkest of the Seven Courts, have made their play for power, and unless Niall can recreate the ritual of the Sixty-One Nails, their dark dominion will enslave all of the Feyre, and all of humankind too.

I picked this up a long while ago based on the blurb on the back and the fact that it was set in London (yes, I know, but as my home town and the best city in the world I'm allowed to be biased!). It sounded like Neverwhere, which I've not read either but I liked the TV show back in the 90s. As we are coming up for Halloween, I think I need to dust this out...or perhaps have a London theme fortnight - what do you think? :)

  1. Every story I've read about the London Underground has been super creepy. Gotta wonder about that. LOL
