But what about all those wonderful books that are ALREADY on my shelves?
This highlights a book I already have but just haven't got round to reading yet!

So begins a dangerous battle between these two great men which overwhelms the one between England and France. And their own obsessions and secret dabblings with the dark arts are going to cause more trouble than they can imagine.A friend recommended this to me about four years ago and raved so much, I rushed out to buy a copy...and it's sat on my shelf ever since. It's a very big book and I keep thinking that I need a full fortnight to make my way through it! But I'm still told it's a great story, so I will read it - eventually!
I liked it, but found it a very slow read. It's one of those books I didn't carry around with me, but kept at my bedside for when I had some uninterrupted reading time. Overall it was a beautiful book, and an interesting story, but a little too padded and slow-paced to be a favourite.

ReplyDeleteOh, I've heard amazing things on this book too! And I want to get it. But, I'm scared of it. lol. Well, I know what you mean about the size of it. It is HUGE. And I'm afraid I wont be able to get through it fast enough. Oh, but I do want it too. Hope you enjoy it when you get to it. :)
