Throwback Thursday #26 - Deadline

This is a great feature that Melissa at My World...in words and pictures has been doing for a while and I wanted to jump on board! There are plenty of books out there I desperately want...

But what about all those wonderful books that are ALREADY on my shelves?

Deadline (Newsflesh 2) - Mira Grant
Shaun Mason is a man without a mission. Not even running the news organization he built with his sister has the same urgency as it used to. Playing with dead things just doesn't seem as fun when you've lost as much as he has. But when a CDC researcher fakes her own death and appears on his doorstep with a ravenous pack of zombies in tow, Shaun has a newfound interest in life. Because she brings news-he may have put down the monster who attacked them, but the conspiracy is far from dead. Now, Shaun hits the road to find what truth can be found at the end of a shotgun.

I absolutely loved Feed - the first in the Newsflesh trilogy. I read it just over a year ago and it was one of my very first - and few 10 out of 10 marks. So I made sure I pre-ordered this so I had as soon as it was released. Unfortunately ever since it arrived, my reading schedule has already been blocked out and I haven't started it yet! It's been sat on my must read soon pile for three months or so and I NEED to start reading it soon!

Do you have any books like that you desperately wanted when released and somehow not started reading yet?

  1. I've heard so many good things about FEED and have it on my wishlist and this follow on sounds great too. If I live to be 100 I don't think I'll ever get through all the books on my TBR list but I'll have fun trying :D

  4. Oh I have to get the first book! I've heard wonderful things about this series and really didn't think it was for me, but a few fellow readers have convinced me I need this one. :) Thank you!
