<<GIVEAWAY CLOSED>>
Thanks for the great giveaway! :D
ReplyDeleteI have never been to London, but it's a dream of mine to do so. What I love about it that there's this feeling of history about it - there's a mix between old and new and they're perfectly balanced.
I love London! most especially the West End and its theratres :) Also London Bridge and the vaults beneath it are fun to - just so much history... Anyway thanks for the giveaway :)
ReplyDeleteI've been to London a couple of times, and what strikes me the most every time I'm there (aside from the crowds!) is the history. It's like you can't turn around in some places without getting some wonderful reminder of how old the city is, and how many stories are contained within its streets and buildings.
ReplyDeleteMy second-favourite thing about London? More often than not, when I'm there it means that I'm in the UK to visit my extended family, so being in London means it won't be long until I'm in Newcastle, where I can see all the people I haven't seen in years!
Many thanks for making this an international giveaway!
thanks you for this international giveaway
ReplyDeleteI love how there small and bigs parks in London so you can find nature even if this big city ^^
Thank you for making this giveaway international! :D Rivers of London sounds fantastic!
ReplyDeleteI love visiting London. One of my favourite things is the market at Camden Lock - so many stalls squished in together, and especially the food ones, with everyone trying to give you a sample of their food to make you buy it, and then when I do choose something I can sit by the canal to eat & just watch the world go by. I also quite like to just walk beside the river, past the RAF memorial. Like people have said, I love the history there - you can walk everywhere (if you have time) and always be near something interesting, or passing some statue to someone from history.
ReplyDeleteI've only visited London once and only for one week. But I loved it! I loved everything, like drinking real English Tea, taking photos at Madame Tussauds or just shopping :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway ;)
ReplyDeleteI've never been to London, but I'm going there in May. I'll be there for few days and I'm really looking forward it - London is so fascinating.
I love LONDON, too! I can't wait to go back to visit. Everyone told me that the weather would be crap and I'd get lost, but when I visited, the weather was PERFECT and I had no trouble getting around the city. It was a magical experience.
ReplyDeleteHonestly, truth be told I do not know! These days I am so bookcrazy that I would just love to visit the biggest bookstore and buy books, and show clothes! :D
ReplyDeleteWhat I associate with it? Culture! I've met English people IRL and always found that they are so nice and don't mind sharing their city, hamlet... whatever. So, I wanna go there to experience it!
ReplyDeleteMel! Take me there! :)
*old follower* I've never been to London, but my brother and husband are both serious Anglophiles and I can't wait to visit there myself. It's so trite, but I think the first touristy thing I'd have to do is visit King's Cross Station to fulfill my Harry Potter love and then visit Portobello Road (sp?) because ever since watching the movie Bedknobs and Broomsticks I've wanted to poke along that famous stretch.
DeleteI love going to London its just all that history that surrounds you and of course the shops.
DeleteMy dream trip would be to go to Great Britain, and the first place I'd check out would be London. I've read so many stories over the years that were set in and around London, from medieval times to modern day and I'd love to see it all.
ReplyDeleteI have only visited London once but I would love to be able to mgo back again.
ReplyDeleteThere is just so much to see and do in LOndon that I think one could easily spend months exploring the city.
Thanks for the giveaway.

Thanks for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI love London because its so easy to go from the bustle of the shopping streets and theatres to the relaxing country-like atmosphere of the parks.
I plan to travel to London this June. I want see National Gallery cause I love Turner´s paintings. And I want to see some theatre performace :) I´m looking forward!
ReplyDeleteI love visiting London, especially the museums, London Zoo and catching a show in the west end. The shopping is pretty good too!!
ReplyDeleteI love London because I live in London! Apart from the underground at peak times, it's pretty cool:)
ReplyDeleteI bought the books recently and am looking forward to them. Have tweeted your giveaway though.
ReplyDeleteLondon...what can I say? Culturally, it's super-important, and it's also a great place to get fish and chips. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm actually not a great London fan, but there are a few things.. the size of the shops for one thing! I'm kinda dying to visit Foyles and their The Works, maybe a Waterstones.. Must be other insanely awesome bookshops in London.. Priorities! The Great British Museum, The Tower of London, China Town, Adam's Rib, Covent Garden, St. Paul's Cathedral, Westminster area, the memories I have with my dad there.. okay I suppose London can be okay!
ReplyDeleteOne thing I associate with London is that it is a number of villages welded together so people either do things locally or up west
ReplyDeleteBeing able to walk for miles and there is always something interesting to see or a landmark to look at - coming across interesting buildings markets statues and well known streets etc
ReplyDeletegreat city visiting there in about 10 days will see a show
ReplyDeleteIf anyone is tired of London then they must be tired of life
ReplyDeleteA glorious melting pot of people in the most historic city in the world.
ReplyDeleteI work in London and have done for years. I associate it with speed - people powering down pavements, trends coming and going like lightning - and pwer - Parliament, the High Court, the Stock Exchange. It's extremes - fabulous wealth, grinding poverty in the same borough, Michelin starred restaurants in the next street to a greasy spoon. It's extremes of fashion, but also timeless buildings, road patterns from Georgian period and earlier. It's often ruthless, and occasionally tear-inducingly kind. I love it and hate it and I'm addicted to it. I'd hate to work anywhere else.
ReplyDeleteI love London! :D I'm hopefully moving there in September for uni! :D Thanks for the giveaway too :)
ReplyDeleteThe London Underground. Yes, it's hot, yes it's crowded, but it was an amazing feat of engineering and organisation when it was built, and it still is today. The history of it is fascinating, and I love the different "character" of the stations and lines, the disused tunnels and ghost stations, and the people who travel on it.
ReplyDeleteits one of my dream to visit London..i hope to do it someday!!
ReplyDeleteI make day trips down to London from Derbyshire on the train often and love it! Sometimes I will just wander around the St Pancras area and then come home again.
ReplyDeleteLove London but hate the tube
ReplyDeleteI live in London and having worked for a time else where I can honestly say I love it! Its overcrowded, the tubes suck, but the advantages in theatre, museums, resraunts etc more then make up for any shortcomings - the most wonderful city on earth!
ReplyDeleteI used to go to London once a year to a works christmas party but havent been for years. I do remember going to the British Museum and my daughter is really into museums - its a pity they don't do weekend trips for families to go there - that is just one place you cant look around in one day
ReplyDeleteI know this sounds silly, but each time I have to dream up a location for holiday I automatically go "UK" and add London somewhere at the top of the list. I have been to London and think it is a wonderful city to walk around in. I try to avoid the subways because I just like exploring it by feet (though you do get tired!).
ReplyDeleteI very much enjoyed the British Library in particular. Otherwise, I really want to see it at Christmas time.
I love London :)
ReplyDeleteI have been to Lodon numerous times. I just the love the history of the place; Westminster Abbey was amazing, one of my favourite places I've visited, being next to the tombs of such great Kings and Queens of England; St Pauls was just a magical place with the painted ceiling, the whispering gallery and the view from the top stretching for miles; Madame Tussads was alot of fun; The London Eye was a brilliant way of seeing London from horizon to horizon; the National Portrait gallery was fascinating, the artwork was amazing especially the portrait of Queen Elizabeth (that I had to buy a postcard of for my wall!); and finally London Zoo was fun especially the monkey enclosure that you can actually walk through and see them jump around feet away from you. The museums are also great but I haven't been for a few years. London is a great city, lots to do and see!
ReplyDeleteI love London for many different reasons; museums, night-life, theatre, but the main one is that its the home of my beloved Tottenham Hotspur
ReplyDeleteNever been to London shopping apart from Westfields 2 years ago. This was awesome as i was lucky enough to win £1000 to spend there. In fact not been to london since i was about 12 and then it was school trip to natural history museum.
ReplyDeleteWould love to spend a week doing all the tourist things , shame it costs so much
Having lived in London all my life, i cant imagine living anywhere else. You have everything at your disposal.
ReplyDeleteLike most places, you find certain areas where you would not like to walk through. But i can honestly say that the pros outnumber the cons, and this is coming from somebody that lives in Peckham
I've only been to London a couple of times, but loved it.
ReplyDeleteWe must take our daughter there one day. One of the kids in her class has been and has been telling her all about it. He's apparently been doing lots of pictures of Big Ben, so my daughter has been asking about that.
they dont call it the big smoke for nothing charlotte r
ReplyDeleteI love shopping in london. They have the biggest apple store... Nom!
ReplyDeleteI love doing the tourist-thing in London... Tower of London, Covent Garden and chilling on the Southbank.
ReplyDeleteMaybe it's because I'm a Londoner,
ReplyDeleteThat I love London so.
Maybe it's because I'm a Londoner
That I think of her wherever I go
So much to see and do. There is something for everyone!
ReplyDeleteI love that there is so much greenery in such a huge city!!
ReplyDeleteI love the change of the stratford area with the olympics around the corner, I have a Waitrose so close to me now!!!!
ReplyDeleteI've been to London just last September (not my first time there either) and had quite a few bookish places on my itinerary ... can you say British Library? Though I generally love all the museums you can find there :-)!
ReplyDeleteI love going to London, I live an hour away by train so it's great to go for a day out as there is so much to see and do.
