My Book Haul/In My Mailbox

The Story Siren hosts a weekly meme where bloggers can share what goodies they've purchased/received this week. If you get a chance head over to The Story Siren and check out what everyone is up to!
An early mailbox this week as I will be busy elsewhere tomorrow (round my parents for Christmas day for too much food and pressies!), but I couldn't let the week go buy without sharing what I recieved this week...

In The Forests Of The Night (Goblin Wars 2)- Kersten Hamilton
Publisher: Clarion Books

The battle against goblinkind continues . . . but which side will Teagan be on?
Teagan, Finn, and Aiden have made it out of Mag Mell alive, but the Dark Man’s forces are hot on their heels. Back in Chicago, Tea’s goblin cousins show up at her school, sure she will come back to Mag Mell, as goblin blood is never passive once awoken. Soon she will belong to Fear Doirich and join them. In the meantime, they are happy to entertain themselves by trying to seduce, kidnap, or kill Tea’s family and friends. Tea knows she doesn’t have much time left, and she refuses to leave Finn or her family to be tortured and killed. A wild Stormrider, born to rule and reign, is growing stronger inside her. But as long as she can hold on, she’s still Teagan Wylltson, who plans to be a veterinarian and who heals the sick and hurting. The disease that’s destroying her—that’s destroying them all—has a name: Fear Doirich. And Teagan Wylltson is not going to let him win.

I won this from the wonderful Stella at Ex Libris and the generous Kersten herself. I've heard so many good things about this series so I think I will invest in book one as soon as christmas is over - and I will allow myself to buy books again! :-)

Angel Fire - L.A. Weatherly
Publisher: Usborne
Only Willow has the power to defeat the malevolent Church of Angels, and they will stop at nothing to destroy her. Willow isn’t alone, though. She has Alex by her side – a trained Angel Killer and her one true love. But nothing can change the fact that Willow’s a half-angel, and when Alex joins forces with a group of AKs, she’s treated with mistrust and suspicion. She’s never felt more alone…until she meets Seb. He’s been searching for Willow his whole life – because Seb is a half-angel too.

I won this from Sarah at Whispering Words as part of her birthday giveaway - and it's signed! I read Angel earlier in the year and liked the different take on Angels - although I wasn't a big fan of the romance...I'm looking forward to seeing what happen next to Willow and Alex.

I also particpated in Missie from The Unread Reader's bookmark exchange program. I recieved this cute frog bookmark from Lea, the Yearning Mermaid...I love it! Thank you!
So did you get anything before Christmas...? :-)

  4. I got a copy of "In the Forest of the Night" a little while ago, and started reading it, but it's since gone missing. I suspect one of the kittens has hidden it somewhere. Possibly under a couch...

I hope you enjoy it. From what I've read thus far, it's ever bit as good as the first book!
