What Shall I Read This November? + GIVEAWAY

In October for Halloween you lot picked Black Dust Mambo for me to read - and I LOVED it!! You are obviously all wise and all knowing for book choice and I was right to let you make this difficult decision each month! :-)

So what is this all about? I realised the other day that I've been doing these Throwback Thursday posts inspired by Melissa at My World...in words and pictures for nearly year now - I have posted about over 60 books I own but I have hardly read any yet. So on the first Thursday of each month I will post a poll highlighting all the Throwback Thursday books I've highlighted in the last month plus one of the older Throwbacks and ask you to pick which book I should read. The most popular book after 5 days or so, will be picked up by me and actually read and (hopefully!) reviewed by the end of the month. However, in thanks I will also offer anyone who enters a copy of any book from my TBR Shelf. This way older books get a lot of love from both of us!

So to summarise -
- Pick a book you want me to read from my Throwback Thursday's posts and be in with a chance to win a book for yourself from my TBR pile for your own - check my TBR Shelf at the top for some other books that I need to get round to reading!
- I'll ship it out to from the Book Depository or fishpond so it will be open internationally.
- Leave a comment for an extra entry telling my why I should read your choice!
- Open to followers only (Sorry, but I want to reward those who stop by regularly! Also I'm not advertising or publicising this giveaway so it's just for those who read my blog regularly!)
- Poll closes midnight on Tuesday 6th November- I will try to announce the winning book and lucky follower, by next Thursday.

This month the books I need to give some serious love to are (you can go to the original posts to see what I said about them if you click on them!):

  1. I was going to suggest "Tyger Tyger," but then changed my mind and went with "The Stepsister Scheme," because I'm curious as to what you think about Hines's work!

  3. You definitely MUST read "Curiosity Thrilled the Cat", I mean, seriously, is there a better genre for this season? Just add a warm blanket and a cup of tea and you're all set!

  8. Mel either Game of Thrones or Tyger Tyger would be my pick as read both and the fantasy genre is lucky these two authors exist because Martin and Hamilton both have extremely well developed worlds and characters you will love to escape RL with.

Shorter reading is of course Tyger Tyger but GOT is sooooo worth the time it takes to read it!

  13. So I chose Game of Thrones because I recommened the board game (based on the tv series) as a Christmas present for my hubby (who loves all stratergy games!). The game sounds awesome and now I know there's a book ... well, maybe I can get it cheep on my kindle?!? It was a hard choice though, and I was definitely intrigued by both the step-sisters book (even though I was never allowed to read fairy tales as a kid!) and Tyger Tyger, which sounds a bit hobit-like and I have a fascination with dreams.
All in all, I'd go for Game of Thrones!!! :)

  16. I'd choose A Game of Thrones - I haven't read it yet either, but I've heard so many people rave about it, I think you need to read it. Then tell me how you liked it. :D

  17. I vote for Tyger Tyger because I love the cover and it sounds pretty interesting. I looked into Game of Thrones because all of the hype, but I was dismayed by all of the rape scenes that are mentioned in the reviews.

  18. GAME OF THRONES is absolutely incredible. In fact the entire series is. YOU MUST READ!!!!
